Responsibilities:
TROPHY CHAIRPERSON
The Trophy Chairman (TC) uses the show flyer as the guide for the number of trophies to be purchased for the Show. Three (3) trophies are needed for each class. All Best of Show Trophies are also purchased at this time. Note: Each year the Roberts purchase “The Best Model A Ford of Show” trophy.
Classes and special trophies are determined each year by the Show Chairperson for the show flyer. Examples of trophies, lists, costs and catalogs are on file. When trophies are available from previous years,
they can be used, when possible, to save expenses.
Note: A Mohican Model A owner’s car that is entered in the Show is chosen every year by a volunteer judge (not a club member). This trophy is presented to the winner at the Show Dinner, which is held later that evening.
Note: Criteria for Mohican Model A Club owner’s car – the owner can only win one time with that car. The owner and a different car become eligible the next year.
Volunteer Judge: This person(s) (selected by the TC) should be impartial in choosing the Mohican Model A Club owner’s car. They should choose the car that they like. A list of previous winners and cars are provided to the Volunteer Judge.
Show Date Duties:
Set up trophy display under large tent when space is available.
Help in the distribution when trophies are awarded. It is helpful that each recipient sign that they have received their award.
If recipient (or their proxy) is not in attendance, trophies will no longer be mailed.
TC stores unclaimed trophies.
Create inventory of unclaimed trophies for future use (car shows or special occasions).
Dash Plaques:
Determine what photos will be used for the Dash Plaques. The photos will be chosen by the Trophy Chairperson (TC). Club members may make requests. The criteria: One vehicle must be a model a Ford and a second must be an antique car of any make. Both photos must be of members cars.

Choose a vendor that will satisfy the needs of the TC. Usually, 1,000 Dash Plaques are ordered. Ask for a sample to be made for your approval. Size and dimensions depend on TC criteria. This process should begin about four (4) months prior to the Show.
When the dash plaques are available they should be given to the Show Chairperson. Dash plaques are given out on the day of the Show.
