Pre-Show: Contact/enlist members to help on day of Show.
People Needed:

3-4 helpers to assist drivers with process – hand out paper work, collect entry fee
1 entrance area helper to mark the lanes.
3-4 parking helpers (assist drivers to park in correct non-registered area on field)
Materials Needed: (To be acquired from Show Chairperson/Club President)
Windshield cards (250-275 needed)
Mailing list forms for next year’s show
Dash plaques
List of other Chairpersons and cell phone numbers
Day of Show: Materials Needed:
Door prize raffle tickets (Show Chairperson or announcer usually give out in the AM)
Cash box/pencils (in Car Club trailer)
Stapler/staples
Table (5’ or 6’ long) and 6 chairs (Show Chairperson arranges with firemen to provide these)
Vests for parking helpers (In trailer)
Walkie-Talkies for table area and parkers.
Arrive early and check supplies. Assemble hand-outs.
Staple together a windshield card, mailing list form and raffle ticket for each driver – then place a metal dash plaque on top of the stapled papers.
Check on helpers, entrance workers and parkers to see if they need something to drink and/or a bathroom break.
Chairperson handles problems – checking with Show Chairperson as needed.
The entrance area is shut down around 12:00 noon or 12:10PM.
Make sure all workers get lunch ticket (meal tickets given to Chairperson by Show
Chairperson)
All workers help pick up area
Chairperson and assistant sort and count money together, then turn the money in to the
Treasurer
Start picking up cones. Use cones to block/close non-registered area.
After Show:
After the Show Dinner, Chairpersons are asked to give a short report of the day’s events. Report the number
of cars that went in non-registered area and amount of money collected.
Handicap Parking
Pre-Show: Saturday morning – field set up
Items Needed:
Yellow nylon rope – 1,000 feet spools
4 Handicap signs on poles
20-25 blue Handicap squares (10” X 10”)
2 blue Handicap plywood A-Frame Signs
Orange cones (use older cones)
Set Up:
Handicap area is set up behind the non-registered entrance area behind the motor home in the county parking lot.
Begin roping off area, starting from cedar bushes to telephone pole closest to jail house. Ropes should be about 3-4 feet off the ground. Wrap and tie rope around telephone poles.
Place cones underneath rope line so cars won’t be able to drive under the ropes.
The Handicap pole signs are placed into the cones to designate Handicap area.
Put down the small blue Handicap plaques on each parking space.
Rope off the whole area (4 sides) so no one will park in the area overnight.
Day of Show:
Place the 2 blue plywood A-frame signs at the road (Courthouse roadway entrance
near the One-way sign.) Place sign on each corner so cars coming from either direction will see the sign.
At the designated Handicap parking area, unrope one side (the Courthouse area drive in side)
so it is ready for Handicap drivers to enter and self park.
End of Show:
At 4PM collect road side signs, Handicap plaques, signs on poles, cones and ropes. Organize all materials and put in Car Club trailer for next year
